One of our favorite frequenting spots for yummy Thai food! Our favorites are the Panang, Green, and Yellow Curries.
The first coffee I ever bought Nico! Priya got to try Common Ground when she came to visit in 2025. I’d highly recommend the Salty Gal Latte! They also have pastries from a local mill—Gaston’s Bakery.
A nicer, slightly higher end shopping center with good restaurants, a movie theatre, and an arcade/bowling alley. Easy to kill an afternoon or evening there!
This is about 1.5-2 hours out of Boise but could be a fun roadtrip for Sunday afternoon or Labor Day. Absolutely beautiful hot springs and a beautiful drive! The hot springs are free and have bathrooms there. Bring some sandals and a towel!
A 25-mile tree-lined pathway through the heart of Boise. It follows both sides of the Boise River, connecting the city’s most popular parks, wildlife habitats, and neighboring communities like Garden City and Eagle
If you’re a mountain biker, this is one of my favorite trails! You can park in the Red Tail Parking Lot and head up Red Tail Trail, then take Landslide Loop down!
This is the top recommendation for anyone visiting Boise! Perfect for a hot, relaxing Labor Day weekend. Park at Ann Morrison Park for free parking. You only usually have to wait a max of 10 min for the shuttles since there are a lot running at once. Go get a ticket to ride a white bus that will take you to Barber Park ($4, and they don’t take cash. You can tip the driver). Ride the bus for 15 minutes! You will arrive at Barber Park, where you can rent a raft (or bring your own floatie). You should bring a pump if you’re not going to rent. Hop in the water and float to Ann Morrison! You ca return rafts and the paddles at Ann Morrison. They usually have food trucks there too! Floating takes 2-2.5 hours usually if you’re doing it continuously. However, you can stop and swim or hang out.
If you’ve got kiddos, JUMP! Is a creative active space for them!
A common Boise attraction in the heart of downtown, near the capital building.
