Our most frequently asked question! We have some shocking plans for the ceremony. The bride and groom might disappear into some scientific equipment for a moment. Will we emerge as one afterward? There's only one way to find out!
Semi-Formal: We'd love to see you in suits and cocktail dresses, though tuxes and gowns are always welcome too. Think 'dressed up but comfortable' - dress pants with a nice shirt and tie will be great if a full suit isn't available. Most importantly, we're excited to celebrate with you! For awareness, the bride will be wearing white for the ceremony and red for the reception. The wedding party will be wearing emerald green.
The museum is providing complimentary parking in their covered garage for us and our guests for the event.
The Museum is a lot of fun for kids! We've likely already invited them, but please just ping us if we need to add someone. However, please keep in mind that the event runs on the later side (6-11:30pm), and some components include very loud noises. We recommend not bringing children under 5 years old to the ceremony in the Theater of Electricity, but you would be welcome to spend this time exploring exhibits.
Please reach out to us when you can. Earlier is better, but we'll do whatever we can to help you feel comfortable.
Beyond the usual dancing and mingling, we've planned some interactive activities for guests to explore. If you're so inclined, bring your problem-solving skills and sense of adventure!
There are plenty of exciting things to do in the Boston area. The museum has also graciously given our guests museum tickets for the weekend, so please enjoy all that they have to offer. You can also sign up to take a Duck Tour from right outside the Museum of Science. Tori highly recommends walking the 2-mile Freedom Trail through downtown if you are interested in history - you can even climb to the top of the Bunker Hill Monument and board the USS Constitution! Shop around the Faneuil Hall area (conveniently located along the Freedom Trail) and grab a bite to eat at Quincy Market. Or walk along the Boston waterfront and visit the New England Aquarium or Children's Museum. For a more *refined* experience, there is high-end shopping in the Copley/Prudential area and on Newbury Street. Boston's Copley Library may be the most beautiful library you've ever seen (with Tori's completely unbiased opinion, of course).
Yes! The museum has provided complimentary tickets for our wedding guests to use October 24-26. Please check your email for a message from Tori with the passes attached, or send either of us a message if you did not receive an email.
