FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! The dress code is colorful cocktail. We ask that women wear evening attire, short, mid-length, or long dresses or nice jumpsuits. We also advise that you should bring a jacket if it gets cold. But there will be blankets available. Men should wear suit jackets, button up shirts, and a tie is optional. The most important thing is to wear something that makes you feel beautiful and that you can dance all night long in!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We of course understand the food allergy/restriction. Our dinner will be served family style and will be gluten free and mostly vegan. All food items will be labeled with allergens as well. Please let us know directly (call, text, email) by 9/1/2026 if you have any questions or concerns or other allergy so that we can properly accommodate for you.

Question

How do we get to Elawa Farms from the city/else where?

Answer

There are two options: driving or train. Driving is simple. There is a parking lot at Elawa Farms available to visitors. It is quite large so parking won’t be a problem for the size or our wedding. The other option is the UP-N line to Lake Forest (east) train station. There are two train stations in Lake Forest, so make sure if you are coming from the city you get on the Union Pacific-North Line/UP-N. You can catch these lines from Clybourn Metra Station or Olgivie Metra Station. If you don’t want to drive, (which we recommend!) there is a train. The UP-N line from Chicago or other neighboring towns is the line you have to take. When you get off the train, there will be busses ready to take you to Elawa Farms. There will also be a bus to take you back to the train station after the reception is over. There will be a second bus that will take the wedding party (and any one else who wants to join!) back to the city for an after party and more celebrations.
