Are there bears?

Answer

Yes, but don't be scared! With our large party the noise will keep them away. If you plan on hiking deep into the wilderness, a can of bear spray would be recommended.

Is there swimming?

Answer

Yes, there is swimming bring a bathing suit! There will not be a lifeguard on duty, your safety is your your responsibility.

Is there phone service at camp?

What is September like in Montana?

Answer

September in Montana is LOVELY! Usually it is pretty warm, the average high is 72° and the average low is 35°. Expect brisk mornings and warm afternoons. There can be seasonal wildfire smoke, but we'll keep our fingers crossed.

Do I need to rent a car? Can I carpool?

Answer

There is no public transportation to get to Camp Paxson. We will not be providing transportation to the wedding venue. You will need to rent a car or carpool with friends or family. If you're feeling adventurous try hitchhiking!? The venue can park 40 cars, so carpooling is encouraged.

Can I bring my dog?

Answer

We are limiting pets to those in our immediate family.

How many people does each cabin sleep?

Answer

Each cabin will fit 8 people. Cabins will be self assigned, except for a couple private cabins for our families.

I heard the bridge is out?

Answer

Yes, the bridge along the southern side of Seeley Lake is out of commission. You will access camp from the north side of the lake.

What should I bring for camp weekend?

Bedding, pillow, clothes, towel, bathing suit, toiletries, games, flashlight/headlamp, snacks, lunch, beverages, camp chair
