TV shows filmed here include: Gilmore Girls, Mad Men, Agents of Shield, House, Party Down, Palm Royale, Dexter, How to Get Away with Murder, and so many more. Most importantly for our bride, Taylor Swift filmed the "I bet you think about me" music video here. If it couldn't get better, the venue is also home to its founding namesake's non-profit, founded by women, for women in 1894. The non-profit organization remains dedicated to its original mission “to interest women in the study of all branches of literature, art and science and the advancement of women in every branch of culture.” The organization’s philanthropic endeavors include awarding scholarships to students and providing grants to charities that help at-risk women and children in the Los Angeles community. https://ebellofla.org/

Lawyers? Who met at law school in DC? groundbreaking (in the tone of Meryl Streep in Devil Wears Prada). It is as cliche as it comes, we met during our law school orientation at GW Law back in 2018. Despite being connected at the hip since the day we met, we promised the world we were "just friends" until November of 2018. When we told our friends and family we were finally dating, we were met with whatever the absolute opposite of surprise is.

We decided to move in together in March of 2020...and well, you know what came next. When it turned out that we not only survived a global pandemic together, but actually liked each other even more after spending every waking moment together in quarantine, playing WAY too many games of 2 person beeriokart and backgammon, and taking the BAR in our own apartment together, we knew. In November of 2022 we picked out a ring. It became abundantly clear to Nick that he needed to act fast as Jenn was not so sneakily trying the ring on in the bedroom every night. So on December 28, 2022, when Nick's family was visiting Jenn's family in Carlsbad, CA, Nick snuck away and set up a beautiful scene on the Fasulo's upstairs porch (shoutout to Chris for the special assist). In a perfectly private and casual moment, we got engaged...but not before Jenn in a moment of shock said the words "oh no!" leaving Nick to contemplate his entire life. In reality, I think we both blacked the whole thing out - but we are pretty sure Jenn was so excited she took the ring out of Nick's hand and put it on herself. In any event, we were engaged. Downstairs, our family was waiting for us with champagne and hugs. It was magical.
