KILLER HIKE ALERT! This is for those who are physically fit! Wear hiking shoes, not sneakers, as it can be slippery. There are two entrances: Cholla Trailhead (slightly easier) and Echo Canyon. Just...make sure you have enough of your legs left for tearing the dance floor to shreds.
Pretty views that you don't have to suffer for. This is the spot if you're looking for more of a scenic stroll than a serious struggle.
Nicki is a serious freak for this coffee shop. One time, both our bags were flagged at airport security coming home because we had a bunch of the flavor powder they use in our bags. Just...tubes full of white powder. Recommended order: Iced Coffee with half scoop of hazelnut powder Moroccan mint tea latte (this is an acquired taste but delicious)
In the same plaza as Grassroots and Sweet Provisions (see below). Honestly, I (Matt) am surprised to see this on here because I'm not allowed to drink anything but Coffee Bean when I'm in town. Nicki won't even let me have water unless it's melted from Coffee Bean's famous crushed ice! But live your life, ya know?
I (Matt again) don't know anything about this place because, again, it's not Coffee Bean. But their website has nice latte art on it, so go there and get yourself the pretty coffee you deserve.
Fun brunch spot. They have one of those Bloody Mary bars that basically lets you put a hamburger in your drink and there is usually a DJ playing during brunch. Also...they have gluten free waffles.
Healthy AND delicious, we never let a trip to AZ pass without a pop in for some good eats and probably a lemonade with, like, charcoal or lavender or some sort of stuff in it. Great for lunch!
Brunch, lunch or dinner, come for the rustic-yet-modern atmosphere, stay of the from-scratch menu of classic Southern-influenced American cuisine. Wash it all down with an extensive menu of craft beers and wines (both available on tap) and signature cocktails.
What are you looking for? Shareable small plates? Hearty sandwiches? Farm-fresh salads? Stone oven flatbreads? Delicious entrées? GUESSWHAT?! This favorite neighborhood hangout boasts all that and more!
Perfect for a post-hike bite. From simple but always satisfying smashed avocado toast to delicate roasted branzino (that's a good fish!), The Henry has something tempting for every palate. Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, there’s always a good time to drop by and discover your new favorite food.
Nicki has called CK a "very fun after hiking lunch." This adobe brick building has been repurposed as a roadhouse showcasing the cuisine of the southwest and celebrating the bounty of regions farms, pastures and ocean. Also, the cocktail menu looks good as hell.
Located in the just-cool-enough-for-school Old Town area, renowned Zinc Bistro Chef Matt Carter is now cooking up modern Latin cuisine blending influences from Spain, Mexico, Central America and South America. Home made Tortillas, Sauces and Salsas are made fresh daily and all meats are prepared on a Plancha or a grill using pecan and mesquite wood. Pecan AND mesquite wood people!!!
Another place to drop in if you're poppin' around Old Town, when you're finished eating their 36-freaking-hour pork ribs or world-freaking-famous honey drizzled fried chicken, they invite you to stick around for games and free live music with a laid-back vibe.
Rich in flavor, their menu will transport you to the warm, relaxing French Riviera with seafood dishes like sea scallops and shareable plates like Lamb Meatballs in a warm pita. So if you're pissed we did this in Arizona instead of France, go here and drown your snobby little sorrows in their extensive variety of signature cocktails, craft beers, bold reds, refreshing whites, and celebratory bubblies.

From pies and cookies to bars and brownies, these house-baked treats are all made from scratch and served fresh from the oven, just like grandma used to make. Who's grandma you ask? Who knows? We like to think it's GrandMama as played by the Charlotte Hornet's Power Forward Larry Johnson circa 1991. They also have ice cream fresh made daily using only local Arizona dairy and the finest fresh ingredients.
No specific reco here. Google your way to the best round of your life!
Great area to walk around, eat, shop and look at art. Cute!
Duh!
