Flight Info

Looking for flights to Aruba? Check out our linked page displaying the Aruba airport flight schedule. While February 2025 isn't available yet, this resource showcases airlines operating to and from Aruba, along with their weekly schedules. Use it to gauge the most abundant and affordable options from your nearest airport. For flights from Dulles, United is the only airline that offers direct flights to Aruba. Prices can vary widely depending on the time of booking. While we've never seen fares drop below $450 for basic economy, they can soar to nearly $2000 during peak times. Once flights become available for February 2025, it's advisable to check prices every few days to secure a good deal. If you spot a fare under $600, don't hesitate to book, as it's likely to be a rare find. The reasons behind these price fluctuations remain unclear, but we've found success by checking daily once bookings open. We'll keep you updated on the availability of February 2025 flights and any exceptional deals we come across. Happy planning!

Deciding Where to Stay

We've decided not to block rooms at a specific resort or hotel for our wedding. With such a diverse group of families and guests attending, we wanted everyone to have the flexibility to choose lodging that best suits their needs. For those considering Airbnb, this is our preferred method of lodging. During our own visits to Aruba, we've opted for Airbnb rentals away from the beach, and it has been a delightful experience both times. Navigating the island with a rental car is incredibly easy, and Aruba is known for being safe for independent exploration. While the wedding will take place in Eagle Beach near the resort area, Aruba is a small island and easily navigable with rental cars or taxi services. For those considering hotels or resorts, the majority of options are situated on the western side of the island, where the accessible beaches are located. The eastern side primarily consists of undeveloped National Park. Accommodations are divided into two main sections: the high-rise and the low-rise areas. The high-rise area, centered around Palm Beach (Aruba's most popular beach), offers a vibrant atmosphere. Here, you'll find a bustling beachfront adorned with palapas, piers, bars, restaurants, water sports activities, and lively music. Staying in the high-rise area provides easy access to a diverse range of dining and entertainment options within walking distance. In contrast, the low-rise area, centered around Eagle Beach (voted one of the world's most beautiful beaches), offers a more serene and tranquil environment. While still offering similar amenities to the high-rise hotels, the low-rise area provides a more laid-back atmosphere, perfect for those seeking relaxation and peace during their stay.

Travel Logistics

English is widely spoken throughout Aruba, making communication easy for visitors. Most establishments accept American cash and major credit/debit cards, providing convenience for transactions. Regarding cell phone usage, it's entirely possible to navigate the island without cell service. Public Wi-Fi is readily available in many places, including your lodging, and downloading offline maps on Google Maps prior to your visit allows for GPS usage even when offline. However, having at least one person in your group with cell service can be advantageous in case of Wi-Fi outages or emergencies while out exploring. Nicki opted to turn on her cell service last time we went and if we ever encountered a restaurant with spotty Wi-Fi, it was very nice having the option to share her 5G by turning on mobile hotspot.
