We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Neither of us ever thought we would say this, but thank goodness for Bumble. Ours is very much a 21st century love story, and I'm sure Hallmark is working up a movie script for our story as I type this. I, Nicki, was back in Sioux City visiting family one weekend when I thought it'd be a great idea to download this ridiculous dating app and see if there were any good eggs out there. Low and behold, Brad's face came across my screen. Looking past his Hawkeye hat (GBR!), I saw that cute mug and read his witty bio, and I had no choice but to swipe right. Being an English teacher at the time, I started a conversation with him by saying something like, "Did someone proofread that bio for you or do you actually have good grammar?" Hilarious, I know. It must have done the trick though because we haven't stopped talking since. Less than 24 hours on Bumble with my first (and last) conversation being with my now future husband. It sure made dating in this day and age seem all too easy! Our relationship has already survived long distance and a pandemic. Who knows what else life will throw at us, but I sure am glad that I get to endure the craziness with Brad by my side—all thanks to that first right swipe on Bumble!
