It was any other day to both of us, I walked in to my usual hangout and saw my friends as I walked in. I immediately noticed Jon who was sitting at a table. I greeted him with a casual, "Hey man!" as I walked by. Jon had also noticed me and was intrigued with my laid back greeting. We later all went out as a group to dinner. We didn't actually have our first conversation until October :) and there the story begins...

Jon had specifically picked out Summer Solstice as the night to pop the question. Any other Friday we usually have a date night so he was preparing for that but I threw a curve ball by telling him a friend of mine was in town and I'd come home later that evening. When I got home we went out for dessert and got back to the house. I was sitting down and he asked me to stand up, he held my hands with both of his and told me that he saw something that made him think of me, a token of his appreciation. He got down on one knee and my heart dropped with excitement, I was in total shock. So much so that I delayed in giving him my answer so he likes to say that I hesitated in giving him a yes...lol....and so we were ENGAGED! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Waxahachie!
