We're Getting married!

The year was 2012. Caitlin and Nick met back when flip phones still existed. Caitlin was home from Spring Break at UNH and decided to meet up with best friends Katelyn and Jenny. It was at Jennys, Cait heard that unmistakable purr of a 2500 dodge cummins (that she still loves to hear today). In strolled baby high schooler Nick; with his oakley sunglasses, yellow high viz shirt, after a day of school and working. It was that night, some questionable "sodas" were had, some shots were taken, and a friendship blossomed. Jenny, Caitlin and Nick were pretty inseparable the next few summers home from college. Often housesitting for friends/family, spending nights at country concerts, just trying to navigate their roaring 20s. The next few years they had periods of time apart but the moments they got back together it was always so easy and fun. Caitlin's sister Ashleigh was home from VT one day and asked Caitlin, "Why don't you date Nick?" and she answered simply "Because he's my best friend. It will never work." and yet... In 2015 Nick and his best friend Troy, were often over with Caitlin- mainly for her hospitality of always offering them booze and a good dinner after a long day of work. After becoming inseparable once again, Nick (FINALLY) told his true feelings to Caitlin after inviting her to be a guest at a wedding. While not facebook officially boyfriend/girlfriend, Troy would often comment to the crowd, "The embers were always hot, it just needed a poke to get the fire blazing." Nick and Caitlin had many adventures since 2015, such as going to Nashville or Colorado, getting their cutest dog son Vito and settling into a small white house in the countryside of Bethany, CT in March 2019. On an unseasonably warm spring evening on April 10, 2021 while having after-dinner-cocktails on the porch, Nick asked Caitlin to marry him. She politely asked him to get down on one knee...and said yes! So here comes the next adventure, Allen Hill Farm 10.29.2022...
