We met through our mutual friend, Jake Hull, and were friends for six months before we went on our first date at Klyde Warren Park in Dallas, Texas. Nick brought a polaroid camera and we took photos that are hanging in our home today.

Seven years later, we recreated our first date, but this time in San Francisco at the Flower Conservatory in Golden Gate Park. We had a picnic in a field of daisies and ate bagels from our friend Edan's pop-up bakery. Nick gave Tess a photo book of all of our past vacations together. On the last page, he asked her to continue traveling with him forever. We took polaroid photos and added them to the book. It was beautiful and we both cried a lot.
