We both attended Nursing School at Azusa Pacific University - little did we know when we started that we would meet our forever person there! Perhaps it was fate, but of the all 50 students, we were the only two who had every single clinical rotation together. So yes, you can say that our relationship started with helping each other take blood pressures as little baby nurses. Over the early morning drives to clinicals, our friendship blossomed into more. November of our junior year, we started dating and the rest is history!

Teal was up in Seattle for her cousin's bridal shower. After the shower, Teal's mom had rented a pontoon to cruise on Lake Washington. Her whole family piled on for what Teal thought was a cruise to happy hour. Mid ride, Teal's mom said that the Gaston's (a long time family friend) had just invited all over to their house to have a glass of wine on their dock. We headed that way, only to start to turn away when we got closer. {BACKSTORY: The arch was too top heavy and collapsed minutes before Teal was supposed to arrive, hence the minor detour} Teal's family managed to keep her distracted, get her scrunchie out of her hair and keep it a complete surprise until they were at the dock. Teal's mom called her to the front of the boat and that's the first time she saw Nick. Standing on the dock, under a beautiful macramé, flowered (thanks Kacie!) arch, Nick got down on one knee and asked for her hand. It was the best surprise EVER! :D
