This is only 20-30 minutes from downtown Huntington Bech. Untouched coastal hills with miles of hiking and spactacular ocean views. In October it should be a great temperature to get out there for a hike. Be aware that there will be some significant uphill but the view is worth it!
Food, fun, and activities for families during the day.. and for the adults at night.
Quintessential Southern California town - I thought this was just a show? Check out a downtown full of restraunts, shops, and art galleries. Further south than the flatter Huntington Beach, you will see more dramatic houses on the hills and beaches with cliffs and caves.
This is our 2nd home and where Tamy and I went on our very first date with Hoss (my dog). We have spent enough time at this beach to calculate in weeks by now and we are thankful to have it for the boys to go stretch their legs and play in the water. If you are a dog person this is a great place to get some puppy love in while also enjoying all the beach has to offer. **Hoss and Wiley are both available upon request :) **
You like SeaFood eh? We highly recommend this place if you do! Located on the pier itself it doesn't get more fresh than this! You choose for fish, shellfish, etc and receive it on a tray loaded with potatoes, spices, and a healthy amount of galic bread on the side. if you're a fan of beer be sure to get a Michelada at the bar to wash it all down. Please note there will be mariachi music and plenty of atmosphere!
Located in Newport this up-scale area offers scenic views of the harbor, fine dining, and shopping.
For those staying longer in CA. You can get a ferry to Santa Catlina Island from a number of ports including - San Pedro, Long Beach, Newport Beach, and Dana Point. On Catalina you will find miles of hiking, zip-lining, diving, snorkeling, boating, Bison watching, restraunts and more.
This is a legendary SoCal surf spot located at the entrance to Newport Harbor. The unique break offers a challenging and often dangerous Wedge shaped wave the breaks high up the beach. If you find the right time of day you can see some incredible surfing and skimboarding while also taking in the amazing panoramic views of the Newport and Laguna coasts.
Enjoy a nice paddle through Huntington Harbor - choose to explore the neighborhoods on the canals or the lush wetlands nearby. We recommend Sunset Rentals, address and phone listed above.
Have Kids with you? This may be a fun place to let them learn and explore.
