Wedding Day - Beach Formal Attire Ladies: Flowy dresses, elegant sundresses, or jumpsuits. Think sunset tones or tropical pastels Gentlemen: Lightweight suits or linen pants with button-down shirt. Jackets are welcome, but not required Wedding Weekend Tamarindo is a laid back beach town! In order to keep our wedding as intimate as possible, only the guests formally invited on your wedding invitation will be accommodated. If you received a plus one they will appear when you RSVP.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

In March, summer (or Verano, as locals call it) is in full swing in Costa Rica, which means there’s plenty of sunshine and warm, tropical weather. Temperatures reach from 70°F to the low 90s°F. Despite the heat, northern winds keep the air fresh and breezy and humidity levels remain in the 60% range. Rain is rare.

Question

What travel documents are needed to visit Costa Rica?

Answer

-A passport valid for at least three months after arrival date to Costa Rica. - U.S. citizens do not need a Visa for Costa Rica - A return ticket back home or to another country is required upon entry. The length of visa-free stay is up to 90 days

Question

Do I need to exchange my money?

Answer

No. Bring cash, as Costa Rica accepts (and loves) USD. There is a 13% tax on most things unless you use cash. We suggest letting your bank know that you will be traveling abroad so you can use your cards without being flagged while in Costa Rica.

Question

What time is it in Costa Rica?

Answer

Costa Rica observes Central Standard Time (CST) all year. There are no daylight savings time changes. On March 19th, Tamarindo is 1 hour behind KC time and 2 hours behind Buffalo time.

Question

Do I need any plug adaptors?

Answer

Outlets are the same as in the US, so no electric adaptors/converters are needed.

Question

What should I use to navigate while in Costa Rica?

Answer

Waze and Google Maps work best in Costa! Apple Maps does not work here.

Question

How to contact people while in Costa Rica?

Answer

Please confirm with your phone provider on your available international plan. Most providers have a $5-15 daily fee to add international for your trip! Also, be sure to download WhatsApp - this will be the most common method of communication for locals.
