The wedding ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 outside the Roundhouse Lodge which is located on the mountain. We suggest arriving early to the Moonbeam Lodge at 3:15 to load the chairlift or shuttle. After the chairlift, guests will take a short walk along a trail to the mountain side ceremony. Please feel free to bring additional shoes for the walk, the trail is not paved.
Chairlift Experience: For those taking the chairlift, please load the Moonbeam Chairlift located behind the Moonbeam Lodge between 3:00 - 3:30 p.m. The Moonbeam Lodge is a 10-minute walk on a paved trail or 1 minute drive down canyon from the Solitude Village. After the ride, there will be a short walk to the venue. The trail is unpaved. Shuttle Service: If you have requested a shuttle ride to the wedding venue, a continuous shuttle service will run from the bottom of the stairs at Moonbeam Lodge from 3:15 – 3:45 p.m. The Moonbeam Lodge is a 10-minute walk on a paved trail or 1 minute drive down canyon from the Solitude Village. There will also be a shuttle from the Solitude Village roundabout (next to Honeycomb Grill) to Moonbeam Lodge available from 3:00 – 3:15 p.m.
Mountain Cocktail Attire: wear cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, and jackets and slacks. Please note, portions of the ceremony & reception will take place on grass, please plan footwear selection accordingly. Evenings in the mountains can get brisk once the sun sets, we encourage guests to bring a jacket.
Early September is generally warm and pleasant in the mountains but will cool down once the sun goes down. We suggest bringing a jacket for the evening temperatures.

The event will begin with the ceremony outside, followed by a cocktail hour on the patio. We will transition to the inside dining room for dinner and dancing.

For those visiting Salt Lake City/Solitude for the first time, please be aware that altitude sickness is a real thing. People have different susceptibilities to altitude sickness; for some otherwise healthy people, acute altitude sickness can begin to appear at around 6,500 ft above sea level, such as at many mountain ski resorts... symptoms include headache, fatigue, stomach illness, dizziness, and sleep disturbance. Please drink as much water as possible to prepare for the trip and continue to drink water throughout. Alcohol will affect you much more quickly. Pharmacies in Salt Lake carry altitude sickness remedies, including cans of oxygen, Advil, electrolytes, etc.
Restaurants, bars, and events in Utah carry a variety of different types of liquor licenses. Please be sure to have your ID ready to validate you are 21+ , it is require by law to check each person's ID. The legal BAC limit in Utah is . 05 grams. This is lower than the more common limit of . 08 imposed in most other states. Please be mindful of this limit when enjoying your time in Utah. We recommend playing it safe and taking Ubers or Lyft to ensure your safety.
