We love the Art Institute, Museum of Contemporary Art and the Children’s Museum (if traveling with kids).

Museums galore!

Go see the bean! Wander around the face fountains. Right by the Art Institute if you’re trying to make a day of it.

Millennium Park

Highly recommend honky tonk happy hour   at EB—Selma’s favorite! 5:30-7:30 PM every Friday with an excellent band and lots of two stepping.

The Empty Bottle

Oak St Beach is a family favorite, but there are so many to choose from! Follow along the lake shore path and hop in for a dip (like above).

The architecture tour is always great; especially if you’re a first time visitor.
Ride the water taxi. You can take it from Michigan Ave to Chinatown! We recommend a stop at QXY Dumplings for a bite if you do.
There are also kayak and electric boat rentals, too.
