The Phoenix Zoo is a great spot to spend the day and take the kids! The full walk through takes about 4 hours and October is the perfect time of year to be outside.

Phoenix Zoo

Great place for a light hike to Hole in the Rock that overlooks the city of Tempe and Phoenix.

Papago Park

Camelback Mountain is the classic hiking spot for tourists. We recommend going early in the morning to beat the heat! The Cholla Trail is an easy hike, but if you're looking for a more difficult climb then definitely go for Echo Canyon Trailhead.
