Grand Hotel

SaDee and Nick spent SaDee's 22nd birthday weekend staying at Grand Hotel. Whether you want to stay in and be pampered at the Spa or feel like walking the grounds and enjoying the many gardens. Make sure to really look around, rumor has it, there is a secret garden hidden in plain sight. One thing is for sure, there is no shortage of activities at Grand Hotel. Pink Pony

The One & Only Pink Pony, where Nick and SaDee met and worked together for 4 seasons. If you want the true Haveman Experience, grab yourself a grape bomb & a rum runner (don't forget the floater!)

Seabiscuit Cafe

SaDee celebrated her 21st birthday during a rainstorm here. If you want to relive her 21st birthday in the "PG" rated way, have a nice cold Chambong & an order of Mac and Cheese Balls.

Watercolor Cafe

Located down on Main Street along the water is the cutest coffee and art spot you've ever seen!! Along with its stunning waterside views, amazing homemade pastries, and great coffee, it is an art studio by night! Be sure to grab some poppies if you're hungry along with a lilac latte! If you want to take something home to remember your trip Watercolor Cafe, purchase a handmade Poppie magnet, made by SaDee herself! Fun Fact, this is also across the street from where SaDee and Nick lived while working on Mackinac Island. It was, still is, and always will be the "Saint Cloud"

The Gate House

Located down the hill from Grand Hotel is The Gatehouse. With great food and an even better nightlife, The Gatehouse was always one of SaDee and Nick favorite spots to spend the night out at. Be sure to try their Mai Tai!

Woods Restaurant

If you want to have a dining experience away from all the hustle and bustle of downtown, head to The Woods, located near the newly remodeled Inn on Stonecliffe. up in the higher part of the island, Getting to The Woods is an experience in its own as it is located towards the middle of the island. Take a horse drawn taxi, enjoy a bottle of Veuve and enjoy the stunning views of the West Bluff. Sunset Rock is located on a hidden trail to the left of the lawn of the Woods. If you feel like exploring the island for its true beauty and are up for an adventure, this ones for you!

Carriage House

If you are looking for a fine dining experience outside of the dining hall at Grand Hotel, head to the Carriage House located at Hotel Iroquois. SaDee and Nick had their first fine dining experience together at The Carriage House & will always be a special place to them.

Mary's Bistro Draught House

SaDee and Nick went on one of their first dates together here. Since they hadn't told anyone, many of their server friends who were working that day came up to them asking "wait are you guys on a date?" SaDee absolutely LOVES the truffle fries and insists this is a must go place. Regardless, be sure to get the chicken tender basket, while sampling one of their 50 beers on tap.

Arch Rock

Located about a quarter mile from Mission Point resort and 207 steps up, Arch Rock is one of Mackinac's most amazing look outs. Rain or Shine, it is one that every Mackinac Island Visitor should see!

British Landing

Our favorite place to swim and stargaze. Located at the half way mark of the Island (mile 4), be sure to grab a bike and some cold beverages to get to this local hangout spot! Wanna pretend you worked on the island? Stop at every mile marker, crack a cold one, and enjoy the beauty of Mackinac Island

Horn's Gaslight Bar & Restaurant

With live music and a packed house, the main party of Mackinac Island is the night scene, mostly at Horns. Actually, there's almost always happening at Horn's Bar. If you're looking to get your groove on the dance floor, this is the place to go! Even if your no dancing expert (like SaDee and Nick), great times are always had at Horn's where you can sing and dance all night long. A local favorite spot.

Yankee Rebel Tavern

looking for a dining experience outside of "fine dining"? Yankee Rebel brings out history and is a little nicer to your wallet. The mussels diablo and prime rib were always some of SaDee and Nick's favorites!

Sip N' Sail Cruises

Some of SaDee and Nick's best nights spent on Mackinac Island begin with a Sip n' Sail. Take a sunset Sip n' Sail cruise and enjoy the views of the straights and the Mighty Mackinac Bridge as you cruise around Lake Huron. Surrey Hills Gift Shop

Located up the hill, past Grand Hotel, lies Surrey Hill. With a working blacksmith shop, carriage museum and food and gift shops, there is no shortage of activities to make the trip up the hill worth it.

Ryba's Fudge Shop - Mall Store

While there is plenty of fudge on Mackinac, this is by far the best. Period. Nick spent the beginning chapter of his Mackinac Career working at Ryba's. Be sure to grab a slice of Oreo before you leave the island, you won't regret it!

Ryba's Bicycle Rentals

If you're sick of walking behind the slow fudgies and didn't bring your bike along, be sure to rent a bike from Ryba's Bike Rental. During all the years Nick worked up on Mackinac, this was the only bike rental Nick would send his island visitors to.
