FAQs

Question

What is a Nuptial Mass?

Answer

We're so grateful that you'll be joining us for this special part of our day! Our ceremony will be a Catholic Nuptial Mass, lasting about one hour and including readings, prayers, and communion. All are welcome to participate as they feel comfortable — non-Catholic guests may sit or stand as they wish. During communion, you’re welcome to remain seated or come forward for a blessing. Your presence and support mean the world to us as we celebrate the sacramental grace of Holy Matrimony!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Our wedding dress code is modest, formal attire. For men this means a suit or blazer with dress pants. For women this means a nice dress of any comfortable length. Out of respect for the Church where our ceremony will be held, we kindly ask that women's shoulders are covered by straps, sleeves, or a sweater or shawl. If you have any questions on attire, feel free to ask Rachel!

Question

Are kids invited to the wedding?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we do hope that you can enjoy a parents' night out! The Farewell Brunch on Saturday will be a perfect opportunity for us to see your kids. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Can I bring a Plus One?

Answer

Due to capacity restrictions, our reception is strictly RSVP only. If your invitation states "and Guest" next to your name, then you do have a plus one; otherwise we cannot accommodate any additions to our guest list. Thank you for your understanding!

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

Please refrain from using your phone during our ceremony, including taking pictures. Since our wedding ceremony takes place within the context of Holy Mass, it is important to remain reverent.

Question

What time should I arrive to the wedding ceremony?

Answer

We suggest arriving at 4:30 to ensure you are seated before the procession begins.

Question

Will there be parking?

Answer

Yes, both the Church and reception venue will have ample parking. Judson Mill is just a short drive from St. Mary's.
