What date should I RSVP by?

Have you reserved a block of rooms at a hotel?

Answer

We have reserved a room block at The Gwen in downtown Chicago. Please reserve your room(s) by September 11, 2024. More information about the hotel and a link to our block can be found under the "Travel" tab at the top of the page.

Will there be transportation to and from the hotel?

Answer

Yes, a shuttle will be provided to take guests from the hotel to the venue. It will also take guests back to the hotel after the wedding.

Is there parking available at your wedding venue?

Answer

Yes, a complimentary valet service will be provided upon your arrival to the venue.

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

Formal attire. We suggest that men wear a suit in any color and women wear a cocktail dress or a nice pantsuit.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The venue is considered an indoor/outdoor event space. The ceremony and dinner will be held in a tented courtyard, while the cocktail hour and reception will be held inside adjacent to the tented courtyard.

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

We politely request that there be no children under the age of 18 at the ceremony or reception.

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at 4:30 p.m. as the ceremony will start promptly at 5 p.m.

What time will your wedding reception end? Is there an after-party?

Answer

The wedding reception will end at 11 p.m. An after-party will be held at Mother Hubbard’s Sports Pub from 11:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. The bar is a five minute walk from The Gwen.
