Our Story

Nick and Nicole met at a mutual friends Superbowl XLIX Party in Bridgewater (the Patriots won that year)! Nick was fashionably late because he always watches the Superbowl with his dad. Nicole only remembers thinking "who shows up after the football game at a football party?" Nick on the other hand remembers meeting her vividly including what she was wearing. We starting dating on Halloween that same year and will have been together 7 1/2 years by the time we tie the knot. We spent the first few years of our relationship commuting back and forth from Foxboro to Wilmington only seeing each other a few times a month. Eventually moved into an apartment in Walpole together with 2 other friends and adopted our first dog Scout. We lived there for almost 2 years and bought our first home together in 2020. Who would have thought we would buy a home in the same town we first met? Since moving into our new home we wanted Scout to have a friend and rescued Harley. In our free time we love to watch and attend sports games, entertain, have movie nights in and spend time with the pups. We can't wait to continue our adventure together.

The Proposal

We got engaged in San Diego on a week long trip we had been planning for a while. Due to JetBlue's new rules everyone had to check their bags. This was the first time Nick had ever checked a bag and decided to put the engagement ring in the bag. Nicole decided to put on the movie Meet the Parents on the way there. If you don't know, in this movie Ben Stiller's character puts an engagement ring in his checked luggage and the airline misplaces it. Poor Nick had to sit there for 2 hours watching a movie about a lost engagement ring. Clearly Nicole did not think he would pop the question on their trip. We had splurged for a bayside room and all Nicole wanted to do was sit and watch the sunset. Nick suggested we walk on the beach since we didn't get to see it on the first day due to the rain. We walked out our room and down to the beach. Nick suggested he should take a picture of Nicole and told her to turn around so he could get a silhouette with the sunset in the background. Nicole turned around and was waiting and waiting and finally said "are you done yet?" Nick replied "yes" and as Nicole turned around she could see him on his knee followed by a "will you marry me?" After a lot of happy tears she said YES!
