CDC has temporarily restricted entry for certain travelers who were recently in DRC, South Sudan, or Uganda. Travelers should follow after travel recommendations until 21 days after leaving an affected country. Uganda is a high-risk malaria country, and the CDC strongly advises all travelers to follow these preventative measures: 1. Prescription Medication 2. ⁠Skin protection using DEET-based insect repellents 3. ⁠Protective clothing, i.e., long sleeves and trousers 4. ⁠Using mosquito nets. Consult a travel health specialist at least 6 weeks before departure for a personalized consultation.
