Our love story didn't start out as a blind date or bumping into the airport as strangers might do in the movies, but as coworkers who became good friends and then fell in love. We first met at the Wheaton Eye Clinic in May of 2022. We didn't start to hang out until the following year when we went ice skating with friends after having brunch with several coworkers. During the course of the next 3 years, we went on several hiking adventures with friends from work and volunteered together. One Sunday, we planned to go to church before one of our hikes with our friends. All were invited, but it ended up being just the two of us. We started to go to church almost every Sunday after that, and had many deep conversations in God's word. Our friendship soon blossomed into love and adoration for one another as we not only got to know each other more deeply, but also grew in the Lord and in His Word. May 1st 2025, Nick and I decided we would officially date knowing God was leading us to a life together. We both talked about marriage and were on the same page about what we wanted and desired in our future. Over the next few months our love for one another deepened with God's grace and direction and we knew it was bringing us to this holy unity of marriage. So on December 6th, Nick not only proposed marriage, but most importantly he promised to love, respect and protect us for the rest of our lives. It was the easiest yes of my life! As we prepare for this special day, we are hopeful that all of you will be able to come celebrate with us! We love you all and can't wait to see you there!
