**UPDATED** Where do I enter the Naval Academy?

**NEW*** Pedestrian Walk-on Guests: 18 years of age and older entering the USNA through the Visitors Access Center (VAC) located at Gate 1 and are required to bring a valid photo ID. Non-U.S. citizens must bring a valid passport. Visitors under 18 years old without an ID must be escorted by a responsible adult with a valid ID at all times. IMPORTANT: Starting 7 May 2025, NSA Annapolis and USNA will require REAL ID-compliant credentials for visitors entering through Pedestrian Gate 1 Visitor Control Center, in compliance with the REAL ID Act of 2005. Accepted IDs include: REAL ID Driver's License/State ID (with star) U.S. Passport Enhanced Driver's License Instructions for the Attendees that are arriving by vehicle (GATE 1 or GATE 8): · Drivers must identify themselves as guests of the event to the Sentry · Everyone 18 years of age and older in the vehicle MUST be prepared to show proper identification · Vehicle inspections will be conducted at the entry control point prior to granting access · Follow the Sentries instructions at all times Driving Directions to Gate 1: Directions from Route 50/301 (East or West) to Gate 1 · Take Exit 24 Rowe Boulevard · Stay in the right lane toward Annapolis · After exit, move to the left lane and continue straight until you reach the 2nd traffic light · Turn left onto Taylor Avenue · Continue straight on Taylor Avenue · At the Firehouse, bear right onto Route 450 (Annapolis Street) · Stay in the right lane · Turn right at the traffic light onto King George Street · Proceed to the end of King George Street until you see Gate 1 - United States Naval Academy · Proceed to Gate 1

What is the Dress Code?
Answer
The wedding will be Black Tie Optional. The wedding party will be in Naval Officer Dinner Dress Blues and the Sword Arch will be in Naval Officer Service Dress Whites. We suggest that men wear a tuxedo or a dark suit and tie and women wear an evening gown or knee length cocktail dress. For members of the military who wish to wear their uniform, we suggest Naval Dinner Dress Blues or respective service equivalent.

Which Airport do I fly into?
Answer
There are 3 major airports that serve the DC area. Dulles, Reagan, and BWI. BWI will offer the shortest travel from the airport to the Academy, but all three offer great options from all areas of the country.
