Maid of Honor
Close college friend and roommate for two years. A fellow band nerd, we ended up spending lots of time together at various band activities and get-togethers. We sat next to each other at orientation and lived on the same floor freshmen, so she was one of the first people I met at Marquette! We spent lots of fun weekends watching movies, having parties with our band friends, and doing craft projects galore.
Best Man
Best friend in college. First and foremost fellow jazz trumpeter and mellophone player. Spent countless hours together goofing off in Pep Band, hosting huge board game and movie gatherings, and bonding on lazy weekend afternoons at the computer over a mutual game of Civilization. He has an absolutely infectious personality and enthusiasm. When you share good news, you get the sense that he's more excited for you than you were to tell him. And that held true when I first told him about Miranda
Bridesmaid
Great friend since preschool. We look pretty similar now, but when we were younger people always thought we were twins, and it's been her nickname ever since. We were both members of the marching band at Litchfield High School together and spent lots of time hanging out, having bonfires, and watching the stars in the summer. She is also an incredible photographer and is the one who took all the photos of us on this website.
Groomsman
Best friend since early elementary school. Close enough to feel like brothers. We spent almost every weekend in middle school together biking, playing games, and staying up later than we told our parents with our partners in crime Zack Edinger and Max Meyer. And even when college came around and we were only able to hang out only once every few months or so, we're still just as good of friends as always.
Bridesmaid
Nick's sister. He never felt that he was the most polite or inclusive older brother, but she loves him all the same. As is the theme of the wedding party, she is herself a musician, playing the oboe for the Hamline concert band. While she and I haven't had too much time together, she is happy to have another girl around especially when it comes to picking on Nick. We had lots of fun together this summer when Nick's parents took the three of us to Yellowstone.
Groomsman
Miranda's brother and closest friend through high school. Another fellow musician, he played Baritone for the U of M marching band. I didn't know much about him the first time we met, I had only heard from Miranda that he had a reputation for being tough to impress as far as boyfriends were concerned, as most brothers are. So I consider myself lucky that I have received his vote of confidence, and he was an integral part of planning the guys' looks for the wedding day. If you have compliments of our outfits, direct them to Elijah.
Bridesmaid
Also a close college friend and roommate. We were not the same major, but we shared a lot of very difficult classes together. Despite our many late studying and homework nights, she stayed positive and made our times together a lot of fun. Sharing a bedroom in college can be tough, but she and I worked really well together and was very supportive when school and life would get challenging.
Groomsman
Very close friend from college. I would have failed to have as amazing a college experience as I did if he hadn't extended the invitation of getting to know me our first day. We had an unforgettable 4 years of band, video games, and board games together, even when we'd get too competitive to stay nice to one another. We had especially great times senior year when we finally got to be roommates. Living with him and our mutual friend Bryant Beal are some of my fondest college memories
