Michaela and Nick are high school sweethearts who started dating in their senior year of high school. Michaela noticed Nick at a family friend's Fourth of July party over the summer and had a crush on him ever since. The two had a class together, and eventually, Michaela worked up the courage to talk to him every day before class. Luckily for Michaela, Nick also went to the same gym (LA Fitness), so she would strike up a conversation whenever she saw him there. Eventually, the two started hanging out every day, and the couple started dating on 4/15/16! Fast forward to 2025, Michaela got her Ph.D. this past May, and the couple took a trip to Europe to celebrate. Nick proposed at sunrise in Luxembourg, Luxembourg.
