We're Getting Married!

We match on hinge after I had decided to delete the application the 100th time because I was done. I readded when heading to KC with my mom and sister. On my way home, I hadn't deleted the application and matched with Nick. I had a line on there, " Don't hate me if I tell you, I don't like your clothes." And he responded something flirty about being open because he had no style. We talked on the app for a week bonding over the fact that we were the same age, neither of us had kids, or been married. We movie quoted constantly and ended up having a lot in common. We were surprised to find out that we both lived in the midtown/downtown area when most of our friends lived out west. We talked for a whole week before deciding to go on our first date on 12.9.23. I almost cancelled because two days before the date his communication was non-existent. We met up at Kruig Park and sat at the same table was sipped mules in our engagement photos. Our night consisted of Kruig Park for drinks, Burrito Envy for food, and ended at Full House for karaoke. I had always been a karaoke fan but never met a guy brave enough to sing, until I met Nick. He put in a song right away, and I knew then he was special. In our 5 hours date, we seemed to hit it off, and ended up meeting up again two days later. I tried to slow things down, and Nick was all in after week one. On 12.31.23, Nick and I became official and both said I love you that same night. We decided to move in 9 months later and a month after that got engaged on 9.2.24. Getting married in our late 30s has been a blessing for both of us. We have lived, and dated and knew what we wanted out of life. We are so grateful we waited this long to find our way to each other.
