Question

When should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at the venue before 4:00pm. The ceremony will begin promptly after guests arrive.

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

The bride and groom request that this be an adults-only event. We appreciate your understanding! If you're coming from out of town and need help organizing a sitter, please reach out to us and we are happy to assist -- would love to have you in attendance.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We recommend you wear cocktail/semi-formal attire (for example a cocktail or semi-formal dress, suit, or jumpsuit, and formal shoes). You will have to step onto grass to get to your seat for the ceremony, but most of the venue has hard flooring.

Is there a hotel room block?

Answer

We are not doing a hotel room block because they all required a 3-night minimum for Memorial Day Weekend. We are staying at the Courtyard San Diego Del Mar/Solana Beach, but there are plenty of options nearby! Check out our Travel & Accommodations tab for recommendations.

How do I get to the wedding venue?

Answer

You can take an Uber/Lyft/Taxi or drive yourself. Please note there is limited parking at the venue and we ask that you do not drink and drive! There will be a shuttle to the after-party at Saddle Bar in Solana Beach, closer to hotels and more Ubers.

Will we be outdoors or indoors?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors, and the reception will be inside. We expect the weather to be comfortable (high 60s) in the daytime and dipping into the low 60s/high 50s in the evening.

What type of food and drink will be served?

Answer

We'll be serving light hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, followed by dinner and dessert at the reception. You can share your meal preferences, allergies, etc. in your RSVP.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Absolutely! Please enjoy wine, beer, and liquor/cocktails at the bar.

When will the reception end? Is there an after party?

Answer

Our reception will end at 10PM, after which there will be shuttles to the after party at Saddle Bar in Solana Beach. We hope you can continue partying with us!

What health and safety measures will you be taking during the event?

Answer

We ask that guests do not attend our wedding if they are feeling any symptoms of any contagious illness such as COVID-19 or the flu. Guests are also welcome to wear a mask and we will provide hand sanitizer in the restrooms.

Will there be gender neutral restrooms?

Answer

Yes, there is an all-gender restroom at the venue and there will be signage to indicate its location.

Will there be a rehearsal dinner or wedding weekend brunch?

Answer

While we wish we could accommodate everyone at our rehearsal dinner, it will be invitation-only due to space constraints. Megan's parents are hosting a day-after brunch (at 12pm) at their home in Encinitas - please let us know if you're coming in your RSVP!
