Weather permitting, the plan is for the ceremony and reception to be outdoors. Please bring layers for comfort. We advise against spiky high heels.

What's the traffic like from OC to San Diego on Friday and Saturday?

We recommend coming in town on Friday to enjoy dinner with us and avoid traffic Based on WAZE traffic predictions: Friday: With minimal traffic, at 10 AM the drive from Newport Beach to La Jolla is ~ 1 hour and 15 minutes. At 12 PM the drive is 1 hour and 30 minutes. Traffic peaks at 3 PM and makes the journey 1 hour and 45 minutes. Saturday: With minimal traffic, at 8 AM the drive from Newport Beach to La Jolla is ~ 1 hour and 15 minutes. At 9 AM the drive is 1 hour and 30 minutes. Traffic peaks from 10 AM to 2 PM and makes the journey 2 hours. ***However accidents can double these times. We recommend driving in off-peak hours or giving yourself plenty of time, like Nick did for our first date (he gave himself 3 hours for what should have took 50 minutes...and barely made it on time...but still made it before Mari)!
