Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Mandy Owensby and Nick Osborn
If you're staying at the group campsite with us at San Juan County Park, sea kayaks are available for rent. You can also rent life vests and paddles, and there are no guides for these boats, so make sure someone in your group has experience with the choppy waters that you may find off the west side of the island (also the side where most of the Orca sightings happen).

Whale Watching with San Juan Excursions

Sea Kayaking with San Juan Outfitters

These guides are great! We have gone on two trips with this company and they were fantastic. If you really want a guaranteed orca sighting, you may want to go on one of their faster boat tours to check out the pods of Orcas that live in the Salish Sea year round. For a slower, paced- human powered trip, their sea kayaks are the way to go! Lots of seals, eagles, sea lions, tiny deer, and other wildlife can be seen up close and personal in the kayaks, without being scared away. Enjoy the beauty of this place on the water, in between wedding events!

Roche Harbor Resort - Hotel De Haro

, (800) 451-8910

Check out the Art Walk at Roche Harbor, the little market and marina, shops and bocce ball court. It's all really adorable and feels like you've stepped into another time.
