What is the dress code?

Answer

Formal - Examples of this would be suits and ties, dressy suits, long gowns, or formal cocktail dresses.

Where will the ceremony/reception be?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be at The Eloise in Mt. Horeb, WI.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! There is a parking lot. We will have shuttles for those staying at the GrandStay Hotel in Mt. Horeb. Vehicles can be left in The Eloise's parking lot until 9 am the next morning. You cannot park on the main road, and will be towed if you do so.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! Please plan alternative transportation plans if you are planning on drinking. If you stay at the GrandStay, there will be a shuttle you can take both to and from the venue. If you drive, vehicles can be left in the Eloise parking lot until 9 am the next morning. Per our venue's policies, we ask that you do not bring your own alcohol to the venue. We are sure you'll find a drink you'll love at the bar.

Can I smoke at the venue?

Answer

There are designated areas at the venue where you can use e-cigarettes, cigarettes, vapes, and cigars. There will be designated receptacles for their disposal. Please do not smoke/vape inside. Marijuana is decriminalized in Dane County, but not legal for recreational use in the state of Wisconsin. Because of this, The Eloise asks that there be no drugs at the venue.

What color is the bridal party wearing?

Answer

The bridesmaids are wearing dusty blue. The groomsmen are wearing black suits with light blue ties.

When will the shuttles pick us up?

Answer

We will have a finalized schedule available at both the hotel and venue on the day of the wedding. Our current plan is to have the first shuttle leave the hotel at 3 pm and the second shuttle leave the hotel at 3:30 pm. Even if you drive to the venue, you can take the shuttle back to the hotel at the end of the night. Just make sure to pick up your car from the lot by 9 am on Sunday, April 19th.

Will the ceremony be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony will be inside due to how unpredictable Wisconsin weather can be in April. There is a patio that you can go out on during cocktail hour and during the reception. The parking lot and patio are paved.

Will there be an elevator at the venue?

Answer

Yes! The building features an upper floor where the ceremony will be held and a lower floor for the reception. To get to the reception area, you can take the stairs or an elevator.

We closed the page shortly after the deadline so we could finalize numbers with our vendors. We are looking forward to seeing you in April!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 4 pm. Please be there shortly before that time. You can come earlier by shuttle or drive in at 3:30.
