Flats East Bank
What we think is the best district in Cleveland, situated right on the Cuyahoga River and just outside the hotel doors! Walk down to the boardwalk and stop at any of the coffee shops, bars, and restaurants on the way. Here’s some of our favorites… Collision Bend Brewing Co. Great Lakes Watersports
If you are looking to do something more active, rent a kayak or jetski and see Cleveland from the water! Drive over the Detroit-Superior bridge or take the free water taxi from the East Bank of the Flats across the river. Metroparks Water Taxi - 1146 Old River Road (next to The Lakehouse)
BrewDog Cleveland Outpost
Nick’s favorite brewery! It’s about a 15 minute walk from the hotel to the West Bank of The Flats. They have great food, shuffleboard tables, and a huge outdoor patio that looks over the river.
Ohio City
One of Cleveland’s oldest neighborhoods, located on the west side of the Cuyahoga River. Some of the best places to check out… West Side Market (European-style public market operating since 1912) Cleveland Bagel Company (best breakfast sandwiches in Cleveland) Amba (Indian-fusion cuisine) Jaja (Argentinian small plates) Old Angle Tavern (Irish tavern, open early for soccer games) Pins Mechanical (duckpin bowling & arcade games)
East 4th Street
Pedestrian-only street in the heart of downtown, just a 20min walk from the hotel. Our favorites on the strip… Mabel’s BBQ (Chef Michael Symon’s Cleveland-style BBQ) Butcher & Brewer (brewpub with small plates) Cordelia (modern midwest-style scratch kitchen) Barrio (craft-your-own street tacos) Society Lounge (speakeasy-style cocktail bar - Mackenzie’s favorite)
Voinovich Bicentennial Park
About a 20min walk through the city from the hotel to find one of the best views of the Cleveland skyline, right by the lake! The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Great Lakes Science Center are just steps away from the park as well. There’s also a parking lot at the end of the dock by Nuevo, a perfect stop for lunch or chips & dip.
Edgewater Park & Beach
Take a walk through one of Cleveland’s Metroparks and/or spend the day hanging out at the beach! Less than a 10min drive from the hotel
