Our very favorite place in Cleveland - and it's free! A short walk from the wedding hotel. You can also grab a bite at the museum café!
Another free museum - right across the street from the wedding hotel.
Word on the street is this is a great spot for the kiddos.
Linger among the gorgeous gardens and greenhouses on a sunny afternoon.
Take a walk from University Circle up through the Cultural Gardens, celebrating the immigrant history of Cleveland, for a pleasant summer stroll. If you walk far enough, you'll reach the Lakefront Nature Preserve - a great spot to check to get a view of the city across the water and do some birding while you're at it!
Take a stroll down Magnolia Drive and see where Nick gets to work every day.
Want a fancy French bite? Check out the gorgeous patio at L'Albatros. Just a five minute walk from the wedding hotel.
The best coffee spot within walking distance of the wedding hotel. Check out Algebra Tea House just down the street if that's more your style. If you are out and about in the city, we would recommend hitting up a Rising Star (several locations East and West side) - arguably serving up Cleveland's best local brews.
If you're looking for breakfast, look no further. A short drive from the wedding hotel (it's worth it!).
The best ice cream in Cleveland, just steps from the wedding hotel. You can also see where it gets made at their main shop in Ohio City.
Looking to grab some patio drinks before the main event? The Fairmount could be your spot. Located up the hill from University Circle in the Cedar-Fairmount neighborhood of Cleveland Heights. Other great spots in this area include Zhug (high-end mezze) and Barrio (tacos!).
Just a few minutes walk from the wedding hotel, find some cannoli, a pizza, or a big bowl of ravioli and relax on a patio or at a sidewalk table.
Three great restaurants are on this street, just a short Uber/Lyft from the wedding hotel. Try Batuqui for Brazilian, Hola for tacos, and Felice for tasty New American. You can also check out Loganberry Books and browse until your heart's content.
Enjoy the river from downtown and check out a variety of bars, breweries, and restaurants.
Looking to relax and catch some rays before the main event? Head to the beach! You won't regret it. Other good lakeside options are Wendy Park (just east of Edgewater) and Huntington Beach (farther west).
Looking for where the cool kids hang out? This is it. W. 25th is the main drag. There are lots of breweries, including Great Lakes, Market Garden, and Platform) as well as some great restaurants like Le Petit Triangle and Momocho.
A classic Cleveland tourist site (if such a thing exists). Check out the architecture and the vendors!
The other cool kids neighborhood. Professor Ave. has some good shops, bars, and restaurants. Visible Voice is our favorite bookshop in town, The Spotted Owl is a great place for a cocktail, and Parallax is our favorite sushi.
One of the prettiest hikes in the CVNP.
Another favorite spot in the park.
If you're looking for good food (and pastry!) near the park, this is your spot.
Take a break from hiking and grab a drink in Peninsula! This is also a great spot to catch the Towpath (at Lock 29) - a flat path that runs the length of the park (and all the way to Cleveland!).
One of our two favorite Cleveland bakeries.
Our other favorite bakery in Cleveland.
Looking to grab lunch after coffee and pastries at our place on Sunday? This is a great option nearby with lots of options to choose from.
Come up to the Heights for lots of lovely walking in nature, just a quick drive from University Circle and walkable from our house.
