We're getting married!

Nick and Loren met in the Summer of 2011 at the University of Delaware through a mutual friend. Loren was majoring in Management Information Systems (MISY) and minoring in both Music Management and Spanish. Nick was majoring in Medical Laboratory Science, minoring in Biology. They started their relationship in October after their first date to a yoga class on UD's campus. Loren was used to practicing yoga, Nick was not. However, he was flexible to the idea. It took Nick almost a month to convince Loren to officially be his girlfriend, but she finally said yes after he made her a batch of chocolate chip cookies for her birthday. They dated through college, picking up many friends along the way. During Loren's senior year, part 2, they lived together with the Best Man, Wisdom. After they graduated they eventually moved to Philadelphia for the promise of excitement and adventure. So in August of 2016 they packed up and found a cozy apartment in South Philly. They frequent many local restaurants and enjoy walking throughout the city. Nick and Loren love to travel and have spent the last few years together road tripping across the US. Next on the agenda is to explore other countries. They'll be starting with Italy for their honeymoon.

Less than 3 months after moving to Philadelphia, Nick and Loren made plans to explore Fairmount Park in Philadelphia with their close friends, John and Meg. So Saturday morning Nick woke up early eager to pop the question. He was so excited he just had to wake Loren up before 8am to get ready to meet their friends at noon... After fighting to squeeze in just a little more sleep, Loren finally wakes up and gets ready for their day out. Nick, Loren and Ringo leave to pick up their friends and then head for the park. Nick had clued in John and Meg to his plans ahead of time and knew the exact location of where Nick wanted to propose. As the group of friends made their way up a hill to a gazebo they notice a large group of people congregated there. Little did Loren know, this was where Nick had decided to pop the question. They made the quick decision to keep walking and maybe stop back later, meanwhile everyone (except Loren) was wondering, "Now what??". The friends walk for awhile longer in one direction and then decide to turn back toward the car. As they near the gazebo again, Nick suggests they all go try the gazebo again. Loren thought this was strange since they already saw it, but Nick insists. So back to the gazebo they go, this time it's empty! Meg nonchalantly suggests that Nick and Loren take a picture together (without Ringo...suspicious), and as they pose for the camera Nick gets down on one knee and asks, "Will you marry me?". Not knowing what else to say, Loren says yes. The rest of the day was spent celebrating and spreading the happy news. The Beginning
