Nick and Lila met in the Winter of 2022 in Wicker Park, Illinois. They immediately connected with a shared sense of humor and similar interests and values, including nerding out over all things medical. Over the next several months they explored the city of Chicago, their connection growing stronger with each date. Lila, without a car and just starting a new career, was grateful that Nick consistently drove into the city to see her for over a year and a half until they finally moved together to the suburbs in 2024. In 2025 they adopted Aspen who joined her feline sister, Jill, and officially made Nick a proud cat dad. Life for the couple continued to blossom, and in June, Nick officially popped the question at La Fortuna waterfall in Costa Rica. Since then, they have spent a lot of time planning this wedding and enjoying their time as an engaged couple. Together Nick and Lila can be found singing and dancing in the kitchen, rooting for the Bears (and the birds!), exploring new restaurants as dedicated foodies, spending time with family and friends, going to the beach and doing all the Fall things, cuddling on the couch with a good movie, playing with their cats, and talking late into the night about anything and everything (except past 10pm on weekdays, because that’s when Lila goes to bed).
