Layla's Perspective: I met Nick at North Greenville University in January 2021 when my friend invited him to have lunch with us. I instantly had a crush on him. We didn't have class together or see each other much until we started working together in the fall of 2021 at our work study job on campus. I still had a crush on him, but we were just coworkers. We bonded over a love of food, and would text pictures of the meals we made. I convinced him to work at camp with me and he said yes! I went into camp with the mindset that Nick and I were just friends. I thought he had feelings for me too, but it wasn't until the end of the summer that we confessed those feelings, and had our first date soon after that. Nick's Perspective: Layla and I met in college through a mutual friend, but it wasn’t until we started working together that I started to get to know her. I enjoyed the conversations and would talk to her when I saw her around campus, but we really got close leading into working at camp, which she convinced me to do. During the summer before camp we would send each other pictures of what food we were cooking, (fun fact we both love cooking) but then after camp was over we went on a couple dates and here we are 3 years later.
