We met on Bumble, went on our first date at Barcade in Midtown Detroit in May 2023, and instantly fell into that easy, effortless kind of connection you don’t expect but always hope for. After video games and a late-night dinner at Condado’s, we talked until the world around us disappeared — and the rest was history. Since then, our relationship has been built on adventures big and small: cat cafés, festivals like Dally in the Alley, endless coffee-shop stops, and cozy nights in, building Legos, playing board games, and laughing about everything and nothing! Coming from Macedonian and Lebanese backgrounds, blending our cultures has been its own kind of magic — burek and falafel included. Even with different faith traditions, we found a shared foundation in love, respect, and the values that shape who we are. We balance each other in all the best ways: Laura, the clinical therapist with her MSW and EMDR training; Nick, the electrical engineer with his MECE, and is currently pursuing his MSBDA — all while cheering each other on through every milestone. In November 2025, Nick proposed at our favorite bookstore in Royal Oak, and we celebrated with sushi and nonstop laughter — exactly the way our story has always felt! Now we’re here, ready for a lifetime of love, faith, and happily ever after!
