Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Kaia Grobe and Nick Plachinski
We are so grateful to have our favorite people in town and can’t thank you enough for making the time to celebrate with us. Below are some of our favorite spots in and around Minneapolis—we hope you’re able to enjoy them while you’re here!
Stone Arch Bridge

Stone Arch Bridge

100 Portland Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55401

For a great view of the Minneapolis skyline and the Mississippi River, walk across the Stone Arch Bridge! We've taken many walks and bikes across this bridge, and the view never gets old!

St. Anthony Main

St. Anthony Main

125 Main St SE, Minneapolis, MN 55414

Once you've walked across the Stone Arch Bridge, take a stroll down one of the most adorable streets in Minneapolis — St. Anthony Main! Grab a bite to eat at Aster Cafe, Jefe Urban Cocina, or The Cabana Club and enjoy the beautiful views of The Stone Arch and the Minneapolis skyline!

Excelsior Main Street

Excelsior Main Street

336 Water St, Excelsior, MN 55331

Excelsior sits right on Lake Minnetonka and has the cutest main street full of great restaurants and shops to wander through. It’s one of our favorite spots, and we’ve even made it a Fourth of July tradition to bike from Victoria to Excelsior, grab food at Maynards on the lake, and bike back. If the weather is nice in late September, do yourself a favor and grab an outdoor table at Maynards. Order a burger with waffle fries and the Cajun dipping sauce (trust us—this is very important). Finish it off with a stop at Adele’s Frozen Custard for a sweet treat and you’ve got a perfect Excelsior outing.

University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum

University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum

3675 Arboretum Dr, Chaska, MN 55318

The Arb is a 1,200-acre botanical garden and nature reserve that features extensive themed gardens and natural areas, including display gardens, model landscapes, and preserved woodlands and prairies. If you're up for a good hot-girl-walk to admire the scenery, check out the Three-Mile Drive! You can also drive on the Three-Mile-Drive — there are places to park if you ever want to get out and walk around! Open 9am-6pm but hours vary by season so be sure to check the website before visiting. Tickets are $20 per person online and $25 at the gate. Parking is included with your ticket!

Minneapolis Sculpture Garden

Minneapolis Sculpture Garden

725 Vineland Pl, Minneapolis, MN 55403

See the infamous Spoonbridge and Cherry sculpture at The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden! 🍒 The Sculpture Garden is FREE and open to the public 6am to 12 midnight every day! After walking through the garden, we suggest taking a stroll through Loring Park on the other side of the highway — just climb the stairs to cross the yellow and blue bridge over the highway to get there!

Loring Park

Loring Park

Loring Greenway, Minneapolis, MN 55403

If you check out the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, you might as well take a stroll through Loring Park while you're in the area! 🌳 This park also has a great view of the beautiful Basilica of St. Mary! Grab a latte at Fawkes Alley Coffee which will take you through a cute alleyway that feels straight out of Europe!

Foshay Museum and Observation Deck

Foshay Museum and Observation Deck

821 S Marquette Ave 30th floor, Minneapolis, MN 55402

If you're not afraid of heights, The Foshay Observation Deck provides an amazing view of Minneapolis... from the sky! The 31st-floor outdoor deck provides a 360-degree vista of downtown Minneapolis and beyond. The museum and deck are open daily from 12PM - 9PM. Tickets to the museum and observation deck can be bought at the front desk of the W Minneapolis Hotel.

Surly Brewing Co.

Surly Brewing Co.

520 Malcolm Avenue Southeast, Minneapolis, MN 55414

Huge brewery with a great beer selection, food, and indoor or outdoor seating!
