Our story begins at a gymnastics gym in Waconia. Nick had been working at this gym and Julia had just started after Covid, so we were still wearing masks. For the first few months of knowing each other we didn't even know what each other's faces looked like! After weeks of Nick picking on Julia by pushing her in the pit or getting the gymnasts to chase her around the gym, he asked Julia if she wanted to shoot archery with him. Which of course Julia out shot him, and the rest is history! In 2022 they bought a house together and don't worry it had a big fenced in backyard for Nick's husky Harley. In 2023 we decided that Harley needed a friend and came along another husky Kona! Every year the couple and Harley did a hike up in Duluth at Tettegouche Park up to High Falls. Our last trip up there was in May of 2025, it was Kona's first trip! We hiked all the way to the top. We went to take our annual picture in front of the falls and there Nick was down on his knee proposing to Julia. It was a magical moment! And now here we are planning a wedding!
