The Westin Palo Alto

**Our block rate expired on June 14, but there are still rooms at the Westin availble at a normal rate. There are other options nearby within a walking distance** We have reserved a block of rooms at the Westin Palo Alto for either the king bed or 2 double beds. You can choose one, two or three night stay for the same nightly rate. We suggest you stay for at least 2 nights (July 15-17). The group rate is available until June 14, 2023, but dependent on room availability. We suggest you book your room as soon as you know your travel plans. If the code does not work or either type of room is unavailable, please contact us or the hotel directly to add more rooms to the block. Private shuttles to and from our venue will leave from this hotel parking lot. Guests have access to the swimming pools both at this hotel and its sister property, Sheraton Palo Alto, next door. The Sheraton has a larger pool. Other accommodation options include hotels and Airbnb's nearby.

Flight

Airports

For out-of-town guests, the most convenient airports to fly into are San Francisco Airport (SFO) and San Jose Airport (SJC). SFO: - A larger airport (23 miles away from the hotel) that has more direct flights - RideShare (Lyft or Uber) or Taxi to/from the hotel is recommended. - Train option: SFO⇀Millbrae via BART, then Millbrae (Zone 2)⇀Palo Alto (Zone3) via Caltrain (see Google Transit Direction) SJC: - A smaller airport (16 mi away) and is often less crowded. - RideShare (Lyft or Uber) or Taxi to/from the hotel is recommended. - Train option: SJC⇀Santa Clara via VTA, then Santa Clara (Zone 4)⇀Palo Alto (Zone 3) via Caltrain (see Google Transit Direction) For guests with a rental car, Oakland Airport (OAK) is another option (28 mi away + bridge toll).

Public Transit

The hotel is conveniently located a five minute walk from the Palo Alto Caltrain station. The Caltrain operates up to San Francisco (Zone 3->Zone 1). You must purchase the ticket ahead of boarding from the station kiosk, specifying origin/destination zones. Clipper Card works for all bay area transit (Caltrain, BART, MUNI, VTA, etc) and can be loaded onto your phone ahead of time.
