Nick and Jill first saw each other at the gym and were later introduced to each other through Jill’s old roommate. Although neither of them consider it their first date, they grabbed Chipotle together after working out at the gym one night. Their first date was at a local restaurant where Nick bought out the whole place so they could have it to themselves (kidding kidding, he didn’t do that but they were the only ones there!).

Over the next 7 years, Jill carefully and skillfully reeled Nick in. They originally bonded over their mutual love of Marvel movies, staying active, trying any and all unique snick snacks, and their desire to travel. Over time, they realized they had similar life experiences and outlooks on life which provided a deeper connection. They eventually moved in together and adopted a rescue puppy who they named Theodore. Theodore is the lifeblood of their family and provides plenty of laughs and entertainment. Most people who know Nick and Jill will know that Nick is very chill and relaxed and Jill tends to be a bit more intense (which she likes to blame on her family’s competitiveness). The two of them balance each other well and share a deep love between them.

Nick planned a tasty picnic at a local arboretum that welcomes dogs and has beautiful grounds for walking and hiking. Although their dog Theo wasn’t present, he gave his approval of the location on a previous hike he did with his mom and dad. Nick brought all of Jill’s favorite treats and drinks and some games to play on the picnic. He then wanted to get pictures together with some of the nearby plants. He popped the question (and some prosecco) and after lots of smiles and laughs, he read her a letter he wrote her with all the cute reasons why he loves her.
