Nick and Jess have known each other forever. They were raised in the same small town; chased each other on the playground, cheered on the NWR7 Highlanders, and grew through every awkward phase together. However, It wasn't until their Senior year of Highschool that fate (aka their Business Teacher, Mrs. Deasy) really brought them together. They were sat together in class and immediately formed a friendship. Learning everything about each other, and nothing about business (sorry, Mrs. Deasy). They began their relationship after graduation and are happy to say that after 9 years and countless milestones, they still feel like two kids with a crush just hoping this class never ends.

Every Summer, there is a little magic that happens at Buttonwood Farm. For a brief window, their acres of fields come alive with thousands of sunflowers. Nick and Jess discovered this hidden gem years ago and visit each summer to stroll through the fields at sunset. On a particularly dreamy evening last July, Nick and Jess took their annual trip to see the sunflowers. It had just hit prime golden hour light and they were taking pictures. As Jess had her back turned for a photo, Nick snuck behind her and got down on one knee. When Jess finally turned around she was shocked to see him there with the most beautiful diamond ring asking her to marry him. So shocked, that her first words were "what?!" rather than "yes!". She got there eventually through the tears of happiness, and it is amazing to know that on that day, the sunflowers weren't the most magical thing happening at Buttonwood farm.
