Nick and Jess met for the first time at Jess's best friend Tania's house. Tania had a group of friends from college over her house, and they all played an exciting game of online Jeopardy. Jess was on team Glittah Catz, and Nick was on team Just Buttz. (They can't remember who won). After that they saw each other frequently at various parties and group hangouts. It wasn't until December though, at their friend's annual Yule ball party, that they realized this could be something more!

We both were a little too shy to say I love you even though we had been feeling it for a little while! Jess decided to let music say what she was too afraid to- she made Nick an old fashioned mixed CD, with quite a few songs that hinted at her feelings for Nick. Later than night, at Jess's 22nd birthday party, Nick finally said I love you! We were both overjoyed!

It was the absolute perfect fall weekend- Nick surprised Jess with a trip to (what she thought was to be) Nantucket-AKA- New Hampshire! They took a drive on the Kancamagus highway, viewing the gorgeous fall foliage, and experiencing all types of New England weather. Nick suggested a trip to the top of Loon mountain. They viewed the most amazing rainbow on the gondola ride up, and at the top of the mountain it started to gently snow. Nick handed his old 1980s Polaroid camera to a nearby guy to take our picture- then dropped to one knee! Jess yelled in surprise and happiness, and everyone on top of the mountain cheered!
