We grew up in the same hometown but our paths truly crossed while working together at summer camp in 2014. From there, we were great friends, co head-counselors, and even camp prom king and queen but we weren’t a couple. Fast forward to winter 2020 and Nick was visiting Columbus for the holidays. After catching up over coffee and long winter walks, we both felt something more than our always solid friendship. With Nick living in DC, Jenna made the road trip to visit for a long weekend in February. After some chilly sight seeing and eating chocolate chip cookies, we decided to officially become more than friends and give long distance our best try. Since then, we have enjoyed traveling, eating lots of good food, spending time with each other’s families, and living together in DC with our cat, Steve. We are so excited to celebrate our love with all our friends and family this summer!

After winning a months-long battle of trying to renew Nick’s passport, we booked a trip to Mexico City for Jenna’s spring break! We were ready for a vacation and Jenna was not suspecting what Nick had been planning behind the scenes. During a short visit to Oaxaca, we planned to visit an art museum with great nature views. Nick proposed at one of the most beautiful, picturesque, and tourist-free spots we have ever seen. Jenna said yes with a view of the mountains and we celebrated back in the city with guacamole and mezcal!
