Question

Question

Any notes about the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an unplugged ceremony. Throughout the entire ceremony we ask that guests put away their phones and cameras to witness our vows without looking through a screen. When we look into the crowed we'd love to see your faces and not your phones. The photographer we hired will capture the moment and we are happy to share our photos afterwards. We also ask guests to not post anything on social media until after the celebration is over. Thank you for your cooperation.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We ask our guests to wear cocktail attire. It may be warm outside for the ceremony while the reception will be indoors, so please plan accordingly. Bridesmaids will be dressed in navy.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of free parking at the venue.

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

Unless indicated on your invitation, we are keeping our wedding small and aiming for an environment to celebrate and party.

Question

Where is the couple registered?

Answer

We have registries at Target and Bed Bath & Beyond.

Question

Are there any local activities you recommend while I'm in town?

Answer

Hear some festive jazz music at Jazz Fest throughout the weekend in downtown Iowa City. Explore Iowa's gateway to the global environment at The Natural History Museum in Macbride Hall. Take a walk along the Iowa River or around the pond at Terry Trueblood Recreation Area. Glimpse into Iowa's geologic past at the Coralville Lake and Devonian Fossil Gorge. And grab a bite to eat at a variety of great restaurants all around Iowa City. *Just be aware that downtown will be a little busier due to Jazz Fest.
