Right on the water, you can find us here on any given summer Sunday with a bottle of wine. Our favorite restaurants include District Winery, Chloe, Morini, Blue Jacket, and Maman for coffee. Try a few and let us know what you think!
In the heart of Navy Yard and where we had our second date! The Royals and Phillies are both in town during the long weekend for those interested (go Nats!). In front of the ballpark on Half St, try Duke's Grocery, Atlas Brewery for drinks and late-night pizza by the slice, Bullpen for the scene, and many other spots!
A short walk from Navy Yard, with an open-air farmers market and flea market on the weekend, with plenty of fun bars, restaurants, and shops. Get there early to have breakfast at the famous Market Lunch counter inside the historic Eastern Market building, grab a bagel at Bullfrog's, or try one of the many food trucks behind the market. We usually take a stroll through on Saturdays and Sundays. You should do the same!
Bordering Navy Yard, Barracks Row (8th st) is the home of the Marine Corps and some of the city's best restaurants and cafes. Our favorite spots include Belga Cafe, Rose's Luxury, Sushi Hachi, Ted's Bulletin, Betsy (underground breakfast spot in the alley behind Belga), and Call Your Mother (also breakfast).
One mile from Navy Yard, the waterfront promenade on the Wharf is filled with bars, restaurants, a fish market, and some of the city's best music venues. It was also where we met for our first date. Some of our favorite spots are the Fish Market, Lupo Marino, Rappahannock Oyster Bar, ilili, Del Mar, and Colada Shop.
Unfortunately, no home games during the wedding weekend but still worth a visit for soccer fans and a stop at the nearby waterfront and The Point for food and drinks.
