FAQs

The Wedding Website of Erika Austin and Nick Jones
Question

When should I RSVP by and how do I RSVP?

Answer

We kindly request that you RSVP by September 1, 2024 via our wedding website. Please indicate whether or not you are unable to attend. Your timely response will help us ensure that every detail is perfect for your presence on our special day. Thank you for understanding and being a part of our celebration.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Thank you so much for thinking of us! In lieu of a traditional registry, we've opted for something a bit different. In place of traditional gifts, we're prioritizing experiences over possessions. If you'd like to contribute to our shared adventures, we've set up experience funds here on our wedding website. Your generosity will help us create lasting memories. Feel free to choose a contribution that resonates with you, whether it's a honeymoon excursion, romantic dinner, a weekend getaway, or a unique adventure. Thank you for being a part of our lives—we can't wait to celebrate and make beautiful memories together.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Please note that our wedding is an adults-only event, and due to the presence of a pond on the premises posing a safety concern and liability, we kindly request that guests refrain from bringing children.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for the event is semi-formal attire. Let's also remember to dress warmly for our autumn wedding festivities. Western New York's fall weather can be delightfully crisp, so layering up with a stylish twist is the key. Gentlemen, think sleek suits paired with cozy scarves or stylish jackets. Ladies, opt for elegant, longer cocktail dresses or chic separates that can be accented with cozy wraps or shawls. Let's embrace the seasonal charm while staying snug and stylish throughout the day!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

You are more than welcome to bring a date if your invitation indicates a plus one. We look forward to celebrating with you and your guest!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes, we've arranged discounted rooms at the Harbor Hotel for the convenience of our guests. You can find more details on the Travel tab of our website. However, please feel free to stay wherever you prefer; we want you to be comfortable and enjoy your stay to the fullest.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is limited on-site parking available for both the ceremony and reception. Fortunately, given the rural location, there are ample parking spaces available on the road by the residence.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

While we don't provide dedicated transportation, Uber and Lyft are readily available in the area for your convenience. If at any point during the celebration you find yourself in need of transportation due to intoxication, please don't hesitate to reach out to our day-of coordinator for assistance. Feel free to use these services to ensure a safe and smooth journey to and from the ceremony. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Absolutely! Since our wedding falls on a holiday weekend in the fall, there are several events taking place in the area. Additionally, the bride, having grown up in Jamestown, is well-acquainted with the best places for food and fun. For suggestions on making the most of your weekend, please check out our "Things to Do" tab on our website. We hope you enjoy the festivities and create wonderful memories during your stay in the area!

Question

Can I take photographs during the ceremony and reception?

Answer

During the reception, feel free to capture as many memories as you'd like. In fact, we've set up a fun way for you to share your snapshots with us through the POV app, which allows you to snap away and submit your digial, disposable camera quality photos directly to our shared gallery. However, during the ceremony, we kindly ask for no photography to maintain the intimate atmosphere and allow our professional photographer to capture the special moments. Thank you for understanding, and we can't wait to see all the wonderful memories you capture during the celebration!

Question

What is the plan in case of inclement weather?

Answer

In case of inclement weather, we've got you covered! A clear top tent will be set up on-site as our designated rain site. This beautiful tent ensures that the celebration can continue rain or shine, providing a cozy and dry space for all our guests to enjoy. So rest assured, whatever the weather may bring, we'll be ready to keep the party going in style!
