The Story

coast to coast

Studying each other and not their books, this relationship began a decade ago in the hallways of their high school. After a year and a half of friendship, Nick finally got out of the friend zone. Shortly after, he headed off to college (ugh, long-distance). But once the couple was together attending the University of Iowa, they were inseparable. After graduating, Emily's aspirations to be a professional dancer led to the decision to move to New York City, and there was no hesitation in chasing this dream together. From 350 miles of long-distance to a 350 square foot apartment in NYC, the two have now settled in sunny San Diego...goodbye winter! Coast to coast, these two are always down for an adventure. Nick and Emily are excited to continue their journey as soul mates and look forward to the many memories to come!

The Proposal

life is a journey & we took the coastal path

Speaking of adventures...Ohhh, Europe! Nick and Emily took a trip over the summer to explore Paris, London and to see their friends marry in Wales. Nick had big plans to propose but told no one. He carried the ring every day in his pocket awaiting just the right moment to get down on one knee. The day before traveling back home, Nick took Emily for a beautiful morning hike filled with stunning views and wild horses along the Wales Coastal Path. Together, just the two of them, they shared this special moment atop a cliff overlooking the coast. Wales will always be a magical place.

The Couple

a decade & 2 doodles

These two knew years ago they wanted to spend forever together, but recently Emily began experiencing love in a way she never had before. Nick was a bit concerned. He knew he played a big part in bringing this new love interest into their lives but didn't realize when doing so he would end up having to share his bed... The Goldendoodle puppy, Diggy Smalls, joined them in their tiny apartment on the Upper East Side. The trio formed a family. After all the highs and lows in the last year, Diggy boy needed a friend. Soon enough, the monster Mowgli crashed the party. Pals forever & pawrents for life, Nick, Emily & the doods love their days spent in sunny SoCal!
