The resort is set up with the adults only on one side of the resort and it is more set apart. The Beach, Colonial, Tropical, and Caribe are all within walking distance of each other and are easy access to everything. The palace is set apart on the opposite side of the adults only. Shuttles run frequently between hotels. We've stayed at Colonial and loved it.
There are tons of excursion options you can book.
