Maid of Honor
Best friend, cousin, former soul mate of the Bride. Also scientist, doctor, cheerleader, and all around stud. Yes, this sounds like a tagline for a super hero, but if the shoe fits? They are known to exclusively answer the phone with “Are you okay?” and share a love for working out, string cheese, and their small animals. These two picked each other as Maids of Honor over a decade ago and both made good on that agreement this year!
Best Man
Jon and Nick were roommates for three years between West Point and Fort Benning until the Army sent them to opposite sides of the world. Nick moved to Italy and Jon to Alaska, but Team Nightmare has remained committed to rendezvousing in random cities over the years. They enjoy each others company, even though they sometimes argue for sport.
Bridesmaid
Ashling and EJ first met in NYC over a decade ago, a fact that makes them both cringe to their core. A love of over planning, packing, and their rockbound highland home has created an eternal bond. But their back ups of Jell-O shots, high end shoes, and that one story of EJ learning to drive aren’t a bad back up!
Groomsman
Only after picking the same university, academic major, and living together for months, did Ryan and Nick realize they also share the same birthday. Share is an interesting word to use, since neither would consider themselves great sharers of information. While Nick may not share much, Ryan is often told to remove his tin foil hat when he gets too far down the rabbit hole of government intervention.
Bridesmaid
Meghan and EJ originally met as EJ dropped a coveted piece of watermelon one hot summer at Camp Buckner. EJ quite literally would not have graduated West Point without Meghan's help. Just don't ask EJ any more details about the Battle of Gettysburg, she doesn't know them. From countless mess hall dinners and late night study sessions to drive home calls and more PCS's than either can count, Meghan has been an amazing friend for years and years to come.
Groomsman
Matt and Nick traveled Europe in a manner they now reminisce on with great joy. They often arrived to countries with no plan, did whatever seemed fun, and let the journey (as well as some non-alcoholic beverages) take them away. They took cool pictures and touched old things along the way.
Bridesmaid
Many a story might be told about Emily and EJ, but probably shouldn't (or couldn’t) be. Emily was even there the night Nick and EJ first met! Of note Emily did cross stitch the beloved "EJ's Home for Lovely Wayward Souls" sign and was in fact the first Wayward Soul EJ took in at their beloved E 51st Street home. As roommates, Emily passed on her love of the Forsyth Farmer’s Market and her support of EJ learning to ride a bike, both of which EJ is still grateful for to this day.
Groomsman
After meeting in Savannah, working together in Afghanistan, and living together in Columbus, Nick and Will have slowly grown closer. This has made Nick come to two realizations. Will's dog Marzen will always be Will’s best friend and you never know Will's next big idea (or more importantly how long it will last). He certainly keeps things interesting.
Bridesmaid
The number of times Cheyenne has said "How do you get yourself into these situations?" to EJ are too many to count, but each story is still listened to with the diligent ear of a much trusted confidant. Her cool head has always helped EJ through life's many turns. They share a love for good food, better wine, and the best company. Cheyenne will be celebrating her second NYE in Savannah for the wedding!
Groomsman
Nick and EJ consider a great honor that the former Mayor of Savannah is gracing the Bridal Party with his presence. Brandon will certainly run into a minimum of a dozen people at each location the weekend of the wedding. If you’re looking for an autograph, you can find him showing off his moves on the dance floor and we can only hope his shirt stays on for the first half of the reception.
Bridesmaid
The Bride and Lauren are widely known for braiding each other's hair in the field, inside jokes they can't remember, and crying. How they spent four years at school together and two years at Fort Bragg not knowing each other and only somehow found one another at Hunter Army Airfield is a testament to some greater plan. One of Nick's first friends at West Point, Nick and RJ have remained close for nearly a decade. From gossip, to the stock market, you can always expect an enthralling conversation with RJ. He is a fiercely loyal man who acts as his friend's, and sometime his own, greatest hype man.
